How to: Explaining CBC without speaking medicinally
Main Post:
So I am a Key at a a big city dispensary, and I pride myself on being quick with my answers and knowledgeable. I can talk your head off about CBD,CBG,CBN,etc, but CBC has stumped me hard. I have tried doing research for an answer to give customers without straight up saying "this will solve your medical problems" considering we aren't allowed to give medical information since we're strictly recreational.
Any buds out there who know a way around explaining this cannabinoid in a non medical way? Bless
Top Comment: Just say it's a natural cannabinoid that is usually found in low amounts in cannabis and some strains have a lot more of it resulting in a slightly different experience than with those with low or no cbc. You can also focus on stuff like the actual quality of the product vs trying to sell them on a gimmik. is it a good product, does it have good terps, is it a good smoke? that sort of stuff is far more important. If people are looking for cbc in specific and want to talk about medical benefits then simply say that a lot of people use cannabis medically but that you're not allowed to give out medical advice or medical claims.
What do some Canadians mean by saving the CBC?
Main Post:
Fellow Canadian here. I kept getting ads on here (Reddit) about saving the CBC. What does that mean? I’m honestly not sure what this movement is about.
Top Comment: Pee Pee will defund the CBC if he becomes PM.
I think CBC is a mentally harmful cannabanoid.

I’m rather new to weed, and over the last year or two I have been dosing a bit heavier than normal.
I generally use weed for a purpose. Sometimes as a creative tool, sometimes to solve problems, coding, etc.
Last year my friend introduced me to this CBC cart from spinach. From my first time taking it, I found it to be incredibly euphoric. I was able to do a lot do emotional processing with it. I even tried many things I wouldn’t have dared to do if not for it. It is my “act first” weed.
Over the last 6 months I suffered a few losses of people close to me, and I dove much much deeper than I usually do.
When I smoke I have a chat with myself that I keep a log of all my thoughts, it’s this chat where I started to really identify this side of me that had an entirely different outlook on life. It was like another personality, but it was integrated. I would talk to sober me as though it was not the one doing the chatting and it seemed perfectly normal.
Anyways over the last 6 months I really started to dissociate and lose touch with a lot of very real things. On one hand I was being very creative and explorative with my life, but on the other I was completely ignoring my very real responsibilities.
I can’t say why I think it’s CBC specially. Mango Haze is what it’s called. But just the fact that it was a seemingly very clear headed high, I would smoke a lot more than normal.
My latest messages to myself are things like “find a new strain” “don’t do this one again” and other things.
Anyways I am taking a sober break for a while. I wish you all well on your respective journeys. Sorry for using this place as my emotional dumping ground. Love you.

What is cbc? Also, If you’ve tried this before how did the effects feel? For me I get so mellow, but not high.

Top Comment: Cannabichromene aka CBC is a “non psychoactive” cannabinoid that binds to the CB2 receptors in our bodies. There’s not a ton known on it at this point from what I’ve seen, but has been theorized to help with things like tumors and cancer by battling inflammation. For us patients CBC is a relative wild card cannabinoid in terms of benefits. One of the biggest known benefits I’ve heard of it’s ability to potentiate THC and other cannabinoids. Some claim this added boost to THC’s efficacy very pronounced, while others claim it only offers a small benefit in that category. I make my own carts, and just recently bought my first purchase of some CBC distillate to add to tinctures and carts I make at home. I’ve noticed an increase in effects in the cart I added it to along with the tincture as well. So personally I found this to be true. I added 10% to both and noticed a more pronounced euphoria in both compared to previously iterations without adding CBC. Check out r/altcannabinoids for more on it and to find online retailers that carry CBC distillate. So that would be the biggest benefit in my opinion one would see by using products high in CBC.
Why do you mistrust the CBC?
Main Post:
I've understood there's a sentiment from certain people that the CBC is a biased source of news and should not be trusted. I would like to understand why those of you who feel that way do and not through the use of anecdotes. Show actual cases where the CBC misrepresented facts or reported incorrect facts. Thank you.
Top Comment: I do not mistrust the CBC. I mistrust billionaire owned media. Keep the CBC please.
FU** the CBC

Amazing new ad campaign just dropped.
Top Comment: Man they had me going for a second there. That is a pretty clever ad campaign
3 in 4 Canadians want the CBC – just not “as is”

Top Comment: Isn't CBC literally the only major Canadian news outlet left that isn't owned by a huge corporation or billionaire? For simple diversity of reporting, it should remain.
